Community President Roger Griffith and team reported on the recently concluded Spring 2023 Conference survey results, along with new information and some discussion about the next planned conference:

This was followed by modernization technical discussions by customers that have successfully modernized their CA-generated IBM i apps to modern architectures.
Abram Darnutzer of the Laufer Group demonstrated the process of taking a Large 2E application to a pure Java application step-by-step and eliminating the green screen. His talk included converting 2E DDS Reports to modern JS reporting, and simplifying the code base.
Kiyoshi Terasawa of CM First Group demonstrated CM evolveIT’s new capability to automatically translate both hand-coded and 2E-generated code directly to Java.
Alexandre Lévis of Barreau du Québec recapped their project to modernize a CA 2E RPG application to a rich, browser-based application.
