TR2 Precon Instructions

Workshop day/time: Wednesday 1-June 2011 at 8:00am Central US time

Location: Chicago Marriott Schaumburg hotel

This session, along with all pre-con workshops being offered at this conference, require a personal laptop computer in order to participate in the hands-on exercises.  You are welcome to attend with or without a laptop….your choice. 

We ask that your laptop have either IBM i Access (Client Access) or MochaSoft TN5250 pre-installed on it before coming to the workshop.

A wired connection to an IBM i server will be in place, which means there will be many cables connecting to a single hub in the room.  When you arrive we ask that you take a seat in the front of the room so we can arrange connections as orderly and in a less obstructive manner as possible.

Additionally, we will have a number of long cables available for connections into the hub, but in order to ensure that there are enough we ask that you bring a cable for you to use if you can.  This is optional, but helpful of course.    

Please make every effort to be on time for the session.  We will want to get started as soon as possible . 

IMPORTANT: If you are attending this session with someone else from your company, we ask that you use only one laptop and share. It will help us keep the room as neat as possible.  Additionally, there are a limited number of connections available, and we want to provide as many companies as possible the opportunity to participate in the hands-on exercises if they would like.
