We have a full program of social networking activities planned for the conference. This will be an excellent opportunity to make peer connections with others in the community. Check twitter at #Plex2E and facebook for any last minute changes to the agenda. The conference app will also have the latest information.
During the conference you will also be able to meet attendees at the breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks – which are all supplied by the conference.
Sunday, September 24, 7pm
Informal “Plex in the City” style meetup for folks arriving for the training. We will be gathering at Mango’s South Beach, a short distance from the hotel. This is a well known Miami destination that we are told you don’t want to miss. Dinner is also available there (not supplied by the conference). You do not need a reservation on Sunday evenings.
Monday, September 25, 6:30pm
This is the main conference-sponsored social event, and we hope everyone can make it. We will be gathering outside the Mondrian South Beach hotel for Mojitos and local Miami snacks, with a view of the beach and ocean. At 7:00pm we will have a Mojito-making contest for 10 lucky individuals, if you are interested in being a participant, tweet your interest to #plex2e, and 10 individuals will be selected from the most active conference tweeters. The winner will receive special recognition from the conference. In addition, Sponsor CM First is providing hand-rolled cigars that can be enjoyed on the beach.
If you are still hungry, a group will be headed to Yuca Lounge for dinner after the event (not supplied by the conference).
Tuesday, September 26, 6:30pm
Join us for a conference Happy Hour at Bodega. From 6:30-7:30, the conference will supply beer and wine, and then you are on your own to purchase and enjoy over-the-top Mexican street food and authentic beverages, all in a tricked out taco truck interior. This is not to be missed!
Wednesday, September 27, 6:30 pm
For the final night of the conference, an informal group will be heading to CVI.CHE 105 Southbeach, a highly acclaimed and affordable cheviche spot nearby. The conference has made a reservation, but dinner is on your own.
We hope you will have a productive and fun time in Miami.
